October 7

We are so excited to be teaming up with Guernsey Mind to bring Mindful Self-Compassion to the Island this October.

This one day workshop introduces Mindful Self-Compassion which is an empirically-supported training programme based on the groundbreaking research of Kristin Neff and the clinical expertise of Christopher Germer. Mindful Self-Compassion teaches core principles and practices that enable participants not only to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care and understanding but also to relate to themselves more kindly throughout daily life, whatever is going on.

This is a life-affirming programme which fosters emotional strength and resilience, allowing us to motivate ourselves with kindness, forgive ourselves when needed, relate wholeheartedly to others, and to be more authentically ourselves. In particular Mindful Self-Compassion can help transform life-long patterns of self-criticism and cultivate a much more kindly relationship to ourselves.

The workshop will introduce you to key principles and practices involved in developing self-compassion and will lay the foundations for developing life-enhancing and nourishing ways to move forwards. Through a mix of experiential exercises, self-compassion practices and some conceptual input you will come away from the day with a good overview of what Mindful Self-Compassion has to offer.

Guernsey Mind and Mindful Guernsey will be looking to host a 5 day Self-Compassion course in 2018, the workshop is an introduction to the course.

The workshop will be held at Fermain Valley Hotel, the cost of the workshop includes lunch.
